Appleby Westward Group Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Retail IT Systems Analyst to join our expanding group.

This is a technical role within the Retail IT Department which involves the implementation, support and ongoing development of Appleby Westward’s Retail IT Services portfolio. Our services include the provision and support of back office PCs, EPOS Systems, Card Payment Terminals, Communications and much more. The key responsibilities of this role would include:

• Provide second line technical support for retail stores, ensuring accurate record of progression of calls, providing on-site support if required to resolve system problems or to perform upgrades.
• Coordinate the new store installation process, liaising with hardware installation provider and internal teams to setup and configure new systems in preparation for store go-live.
• Install, upgrade and maintain latest versions of EPOS software within retail stores.
• Test, document and trial new hardware and software, liaising with solution providers when required.
• Escalate serious software and hardware issues to appropriate suppliers, following through until completion.
• Assist with initiation and development of innovative ideas and methods to improve our EPOS solution and drive efficiency within the department.
• Create and update system build and setup documentation.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills or experience:
• Experience working in an IT support environment
• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems
• Understanding of IT networking (TCP IP / LAN / WAN)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Effective time management and prioritisation skills
• Inquisitive with a problem solving mentality
• Customer focused approach
• Experience managing / coordinating projects
• Experience with EPOS and Card Payment systems
• A basic understanding of SQL

In return you will get:
• £20,000 – £23,000 basic annual salary depending on experience
• 10% bonus based on profit performance of the business and individual KPI’s
• 3% matched pension contribution
• Cost price purchasing from our warehouse and subsidised shop and canteen.
