NICK PEDALS 900 MILES FOR CHARITY

Sales & Marketing Director Raises Money for Charity

Appleby Westward’s Sales and Marketing Director Nick Kenworthy is back at work after taking time out to pedal the length of Britain to raise money for charity.

Along with his wife Karen and a group of friends, Nick cycled over 100 miles a day from John o’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare neurological disease which afflicted his late father, Max.

Nick, who has already raised more than £1,500 for his efforts, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me. While the weather did its best to prevent us from completing each day, we battled on through some very poor conditions despite it all.

“In spite of me being knocked off my bike on day one and having to cycle with a slightly wonky wheel until we reached Fort William, where a kind bike shop straightened it out, and Karen being blown off her bike while crossing the Severn Bridge, we made it, completing exactly 900 miles during our nine day adventure.”
